First Views of St. Petersburg

There are 17 of us on the small tour bus along with our guide as we drive into St. Petersburg with Anna, our guide.



Anna points out an equestrian statue, a monument to Nicholas I noted for the fact the horse is balanced on its two hind legs, and we also make our first sightings of Russian security officers.

This qualifies as an action shot, as most of the red hats we saw were simply standing around smoking and chatting with each other.

We also drive by a shop displaying women's fashions.
