From the revolving tower atop Loews one can look down immediately at the restaurants and bars lining either side of Grande Allée, a hopping place at night. The street was the original route that fur traders used to enter the city, and in the 19th century the rich built their mansions along the street. Some of them are now house these various eating and drinking establishments.
