Climbing Injalak Hill: Unsurpassed Aboriginal Rock Art

We climb Injalak Hill under the casually watchful supervision of our Aboriginal guides. We climb and rest in three consecutive stages.

We're now high enough to catch a view of the flatlands stretched out below us.

Finally we get our first glimpse of Aboriginal rock art, painted under overhangs and in other sheltered areas that have allowed it to endure for up to 20,000 years or even longer.

That's only the beginning.
