Venice Dining: Lunch At Osteria Ai Carmini

As we were walking off the beaten path today, we decided it was time to dine at a Venetian restaurant, rather than relying solely on the Hilton's mammoth buffet breakfast and Lounge appetizers for our sustenance.

We found Osteria Ai Carmini and thoroughly enjoyed the tasty food and friendly service.

After starting off with a delicious barciola and parmesan appetizer, we both chose a tagliatelle with shrimp as our main course. That and a half-liter of the house red made for a very pleasant experience.

We had a few minutes to wait for the shuttle boat at the Zattere landing, so we bought ourselves a seat at a cafe by ordering a gelato - cioccolato of course.

It was a bit melted and half eaten by the time we stopped to take a photo.
