SEA Club International

As our travel day progresses... we returned our rental car to the new off-site rental car facility, hopped aboard a shuttle bus to the airport, and were soon being treated like the royalty we are at Lufthansa's First Class check-in counter (Brian to agent: "We're the Warners. I know you've been expecting us." Agent to Brian: "Yes we have Mr. Warner. Welcome" - said without any obvious eye-rolling).

On our first trip through the TSA check point in some months, we were lucky enough to find the walk-through metal detectors (WTMD) in operation, so no need to start our experience with an invasive search.

We took the train to the S Gates and found our way to Club International, the contract lounge for LH and a few other airlines.

There we were escorted to a special glassed-off area for F passengers, and an attendant has delivered to us some quite good minnestrone accompanied by a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

At some point in the next 40 minutes we'll be escorted to our seats. In Germany, we might get a ride in a limo but 24 hours in our Lincoln Town Car rental has given us all we need of that for awhile. We admit to enjoying feeling pampered.

Next stop Frankfurt...
