While we were standing around in the parking lot of the Constitutional Court after the attempted theft of our tour van, we got to chatting with the Australian woman who was on our tour, and an Afrikaaner tour guide who prudently decided to stay with his van after hearing of our plight.
In the course of the conversation, the Aussie lady mentioned what an outstanding tour guide she had on a previous trip through Ikapa, the company we had also utilized on our tour with Tom and Ellyn.
As soon as she mentioned "Chris," our jaws dropped. She knew his last name, which rang a bell even though we had forgotten it, and we quickly established it was the exact same "Chris."
As Brian joked, there must be at least four or five tour guides in South Africa.
It's a small world sometimes, isn't it?
