What a terrific flight we had from Tokyo to Newark. We were in the front row of Business First on the right (1K and 1L), arguably the best seats on the plane. The cabin crew were excellent and we relished a Japanese meal that seemed quite authentic before sleeping for a few hours.
Our arrival at Newark has been just fine. While the lines at Immigration in late afternoon were short for everybody, we zipped through the Global Entry line and reprinted our boarding passes for Providence to see if they would come up with TSA Pre-Check - they did.
We are sitting in a smaller United Club with a leisurely layover. We'll arrive in Providence not that much before midnight local time, but the airport Hampton Inn will be ready and waiting with a shuttle service as soon as we call them.
One day closer to seeing some grandkids!
