Singapore: Changi Transit Hotel

It's been a long travel day, starting with 160 miles PVD-EWR on an Embraer United Express flight, 8500 miles EWR-HKG on a Continental 777, and finally another 1500 miles on a United 777 HKG-SIN.

Our flight into Hong Kong was about an hour late, but not surprisingly the connecting UA flight to Singapore was held for us, and we arrived here about 12:30 a.m. local time Sept. 13 (9:30 a.m. Sept. 12 at home).

After a few hours of sleep here, we'll wend our way into Singapore on the MRT and see what the Conrad, our first hotel stop of this trip, offers us.

Incidentally, our longest bout of continuous travel on a couple of different flights is probably still London to Los Angeles to Sydney, but this one puts a lot of miles in the bank as well.

The Changi Terminal 3 Ambassador Transit Hotel rooms are quite comfortable and feature good beds. Ours includes a large window with a view of SQ planes lined up, and a peek at a terminal corridor looking straight down.
