Milan: Awake Or Asleep?

We hung around the hotel yesterday, leaving only for a stroll around the terminal across the way. We found out that we board our Easy Jet flight at a different terminal. There's a free bus right outside the door of the hotel. We were tired after our too-short flight (what a silly complaint to have), napped for about four hours, got up for a few hours, enjoyed hot appetizers and wine in the lounge, went to bed about 8:00 p.m., and woke up after midnight.

From our Sheraton room window, we can see a section of our arrival terminal. On the left is another wing of the hotel. The rooms, including ours, are hung with foil-like curtains between the regular curtains and the windows, presumably to cut down on summer heat.

As we mentioned earlier, our room, designated as a mini-suite or something similar, is very large.

The bathroom features a large tub and separate shower.

The bathroom of course features one of those alarm cords, apparently the law in Italy, that are unique to this country in our traveling experience. This one is looped, presumably to prevent the most clumsy mistakes.

What happens when you pull the cord? Urban legends abound.

Maybe we can rest a little longer. We'll enjoy breakfast in the lounge at some point before checking out and taking the bus to the terminal used by Easy Jet. Our flight leaves around 11:30 a.m. and lands in Barcelona around 1:00 p.m., so it should be a fairly leisurely travel day.

We'll see how that works out in reality.
