We checked out of the Westin a little after 11:30 a.m. and took our time on this warmer day riding two BTS Skytrains. We boarded the light green line at Asok and transferred at Siam to the dark green line, getting off at Saphan Taksin. Check out the route here. We walked down the typically long flights of stairs (they are elevated trains after all) and over to the hotel dock to await our boat.
Incidentally, although the trains were fairly crowded, we find people here are generally polite and wait their turn, so it's not too stressful.
We never tire of the short voyage across the Chao Phraya, and then being escorted up to the Executive Lounge like VIPS for cool towels, a cold drink, and a leisurely check-in. Now we're unpacked, enjoying the view from our window, and happy to settle in here for the next four nights.
It feels great to be back.
Alas, no suite, but what a view from our window...
