Barges Pass Below Our Window

The Chao Phraya River is a busy artery, twisting its way through Bangkok. We never tire of watching small boats and large boats and long-tail boats and barges maneuver past each other. We just happened to look our window this afternoon and notice these two behemoths sliding carefully gliding past each other. Pulling them are small, often "cute," tugboats that remind us of the children's book classic Scuffy The Tugboat and seemingly straining themselves to the limit, particularly while traveling upstream.
