San Francisco: Two Hiltons
One night at the Hilton Financial District (Chinatown) and tonight at the airport (actually a 10-15 minute shuttle) confirms that both are fine.
San Francisco: Hunan Home's Restaurant
One final Chinatown dining experience in another highly recommended joint, despite that strange apostrophe in its name. They feature their own website too.
We savored the Kung Pao Beef, Chicken with Orange Peel, and Eggplant with Garlic and Minced Pork.
San Francisco: Labor Day Weekend
BCrowded but a beautiful day and we simply strolled from our hotel down to the waterfront to wander along Embarcadero and eventually back to Chinatown.

San Francisco: The Bund Shanghai Restaurant
Well reviewed in Trip Advisor and elsewhere, The Bund Shanghai Restaurant is only a couple of blocks from the Hilton and proves to be cheap and delicious...
A
It was so good that we returned for dinner and House Noodles, Mongolian Beef, and - yes, we admit it - one order of Xiao Long Bao...

Wireless in Alaska: Literally
We bore people regularly with details of our T-Mobile plan, which has already allowed us to make phone calls and retrieve data from a number of foreign countries. We learned, fortunately only about $27 later, that it doesn't work in the Alaska Panhandle.
We did pick up AT&T, but figured out somewhat sooner rather than far too later that they are "partners" with the ship's data provider and they cost money. Even in Juneau, the state capital, there isn't Verizon, let alone T-Mobile.
We'll try to upload a couple of photos - the Hubbard Glacier was on glorious display in sunny weather yesterday - while we're in port today in Sitka. Other than that, our next communication will be, ironically, when we're visiting a Canadian port, Victoria, in a couple of days.
