We visit this neighboring island a five-minute speedboat ride away. It has about a thousand residents, a hospital, schools, and a magistrate's court, among other amenities.
It even has trees growing a type of pineapple unique to the Maldives. Given its postage-stamp size, we walked a number of its unpaved streets during our three-hour visit: more than enough
