Huot picked us up promptly at noon, our plan being to tour in the afternoon, eat dinner with him, and then be dropped off at the airport at 9:00 p.m. or later, given our red-eye flight.
We started with a 90-minute drive to Chiso Mountain, a 130-meter-high hill that houses an 11th century temple.
We parked at the bottom and took our time walking up the steps. The views were worth the effort.
