Fosshotel Reykjavik: Haust Restaurant

Armed with the 20% discount coupon for the hotel's Haust Restaurant proffered us at check-in, we decided to try out some upscale Icelandic cuisine on our final night here.

Kathy skipped the Seafood Soup as a starter after finding out the only "seafood" it contains is seafood broth. She and Brian shared the "Potatoes in various ways," okay but not a standout.

For the mains, Kathy selected the lamb, which was excellent.

Brian, suspicious of the "horse tenderloin," enjoyed the cod.

The freshly baked rye bread was outstanding.

Wine is expensive here, and we confirmed that the cheapest wine in the menu is thin, young, and barely palatable.

Overall, it made for a pleasant evening, and we enjoyed ourselves.
