Dropping In On Cusco, Peru

The LAN gate agents couldn't have been nicer, changing our seats twice and putting us eventually in bulkhead to accommodate Kathy.

The 90-minute flight was bumpy at first, then became spectacular as we first flew above mountains and latterly next to mountains. Toward the end, we banked left for some time and finally landed (smoothly!), seemingly in the midst of some neighborhood that's part of this city of 434,000 residents, sitting at an altitude of 11,122 feet (3,399 meters).

Departing Lima...

A lot of scenery out the window...

We've arrived.
