As much as I prefer the amenities of the Conrad, the Hilton's location on the Chao Phraya - and the spectacular views - makes the Hilton the place I recommend to all first time (HiltonHHonors affiliated) visitors to Bangkok. And I agree, the Glass Restaurant's breakfast buffet is excellent.
The Hilton property in Sydney has never been one of my favorites - the rooms are small and poorly laid out, and the executive lounge is always crowded. That said, breakfast at the Sydney version of Glass Restaurant is fantastic, so missing out on that will be a shame.

Agreed! We're going with the FLOW in Bangkok, however. The GLASS ceiling of high Hilton rates in Sydney has pushed us to a Holiday Inn.
