Our Lucca Apartment

It's a VRBO property located at Via Santa Giustina 51, inside the city wall and just a short walk from piazzas (squares), restaurants, and stores.

It's definitely a walk-up, about 30 steps that switchback from the formidable main entry up to the actual door.

The living room includes a wall-mounted TV, a tuner / CD player, and Wifi modem.

The kitchen features a two-burner gas cooktop, a small oven, a small refrigerator, and even a (very) small dishwasher. 

We may not bother with the dishwasher.

The stone sink is a remnant of its past, and more ornamental than practical.

All in all, it's attractive, reasonably practical (and reasonably priced) for the two of us.

The bathroom is fine, complete with a chain-pull toilet.

There's even an outside deck, and we sit out in our jackets to enjoy the cool and quiet evening for awhile.

Last but not least, the apartment features  open-beam ceilings that appear to include some of the original wood.

We like the place.
