London Layover at LHR

After a pleasant flight on the upper deck of a BA A380, we took the usual long walk, the long bus ride, and another long walk as we moved from Terminal 3 to 5.

Security was slow but quiet and well organized.

We turned left to try the nearby BA Galleries Lounge, the one near A gates. The gate for our 6:00 PM flight won't be posted until 5:10 PM, so we took the opportunity to relax in the crowded and slightly grubby lounge.

Brian enjoyed a luxurious shower, and we managed to put together a decent lunch, tooped off with biscuits and clotted cream.

Our theoretical nearly four-hour layover in actuality gives us enough time to transfer terminals and to shower and relax in a lounge before flying onward to Amsterdam this evening.
