More Washington Wine Tasting

We hit more wineries Tuesday, filling up the back of our Subaru with bottles from a total of 10 wineries. We spent time in the Red Mountain region, an up and coming growing region, the smallest appellation in Washington.

A quick stop at the Hungry Bear for some decent Mexican food...

The grand finale was a stop at Cooper Wines, where Mr. Cooper himself described his wine and poured it for us.

An overnight in Ellensburg and a pleasant drive home today capped off a very enjoyable trip for us.

From Walla Walla to Richland...

Our final stop of the day was at Bookwalter’s, a winery we’ve visited before. Happy Hour prices held our attention and we enjoyed an early dinner before returning to our hotel.

The Richland Home2 Suites by Hilton provided another bargain night of lodging at the end of another thoroughly pleasant day.

Road Trip: Mukilteo, Washington

We’re checked in at a Hilton Garden Inn directly across from the Boeing Visitor Center where we star our Boeing Factory Tour tomorrow.

All these years living in this part of the world and we’ve never done it, despite having visited the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France some years ago.

No cameras allowed on the tour so this may be our closest photo - from our suite.

This hotel is having key problems, and an employee finally escorted us to our junior suite (upgrade), delivering the keys a few minutes later.

Technology is great when it works.

Quick Road Trip: Olympia WA Hilton Garden Inn

A quick Saturday afternoon drive to Tumwater to buy - what else? - repair parts for our boat, so we stayed overnight here at this spanking new hotel, enabling us to attend a granddaughter’s soccer game up I-5 tomorrow.

It was a bargain price and it proved to be a great place.

We’re really impressed with the common areas, and the restaurant provided just what we needed.
