Berlin Hauptbahnhof: Berlin to Dresden

We checked out of our Hampton by Hilton, a great place to stay in Berlin, and walked over to the Savignyplatz S-Bahn Station to ride to the Berlin Hauptbahnhof.

Berlin’s Central Train Station is large and modern. The architect gave attention to letting in natural light, as the photos reveal. Down, down, down from our U-Bahn stop above on a sunny day.

When ICE 175 arrives on Track 1, we realize it’s a Czech train, not surprising since its final destination is Praha (Prague).

Dresden is about two hours away.
