Rome’s Forum, the Colosseum, and the Neighbors Drop By

We took a taxi to the Colosseum, picked up our reserve tickets, and visited the Forum first, trying to beat the heat.

From there we walked back in the heat for a quick look st the Colosseum.

Bob and Carmen, next-door Birch Bay neighbors, just happened to be getting off a cruise that morning, so we arranged for our hotel to store their luggage in our room for the day.

They met us at the Colosseum, we all taxied back to the hotel, and we enjoyed an excellent leisurely lunch at a nearby restaurant.

And then some relaxation time in our room before they left for the airport and their flight to Nice. Small world!
