We were picking up a neighbor at YVR, Vancouver International Airport, and decided to treat ourselves to lunch on the way. We chose Shanghai River, a restaurant highly rated both on Trip Advisor and Yelp, and we weren't disappointed.
You can watch employees in the kitchen assembling the Xaio Long Bao through a window on one side of the main dining room.

We thought the teapot was cute. Something new to us was their serving a second teapot full of hot water.
The beef noodle soup we ordered proved to be good comfort food.
The soup dumplings - our favorite Xiao Long Bao, were excellent.
At about Canadian $10 a dish, it was a good deal for food of this quality, and we'd return here without hesitation.
