On the Staten Island Ferry

The city-owned Staten Island Ferry runs from just across the street from our Hilton Garden Inn to Staten Island 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

It’s free, despite the touts outside trying to sell tickets. It also isn’t crowded on this sunny Monday morning.

Once docked at Staten Island, we walk through a deserted outlet mall.

We board a return ferry 30 minutes later and sit out on the small back deck, enjoying our free ride.
