Ybor City Wine Bar
We sit outside on a mild February evening, people-watch, sip some wine, and nibble some goodies. Thoroughly pleasant and not unreasonably priced.

Along the Tampa RiverWalk
We strolled the other way this morning, heading upriver close to two miles on a beautiful morning.
We never get tired of watching seabirds large and small.
We’re trying out Jackson’s for lunch.
We spied the turrets of what was once a luxury resort built by a railroad magnate. It now houses the University of Tampa.

La Terrazza in Ybor City
It lived up to its reviews.
Then it was Chicken for Kathy and Veal Marsala for Brian.
Efficient and humorous server and a pleasing evening all around.
We shared a bruschetta appetizer and a vodka penne pasta that was the highlight of the meal.

Trolleying Tampa
Our Embassy Suites is connected to the Convention Center and across from a section of Tampa’s RiverWalk, so we started the day with a one-hour stroll along the water.
Later we hopped aboard the free trolley that travels all the way to Ybor City.
We walked around historic Ybor City, which is full of restaurants, and stopped at a joint called Asiatic for a street-food snack.
We may return to Ybor City for dinner. A lot of choices...

Tampa: Dinner at Harpoon Harry’s
Some sort of chain, this one attached to the Convention Center that also includes our Embassy Suites.
We shared some Conch Fritters for an appetizer. They were okay.
Kathy’s Low Country Boil was very good and Brian enjoyed his peeled grilled shrimp.

Up in the Air Again
Our first flight in a long time. Post-vaccinations, we’re on our way to TPA from SEA.
On the ground at Tampa after a pleasing flight with some moderate or more chop near Memphis and now riding to our hotel in a plastic-encased Uber.
