We landed on time and headed to pick up our Avis Rental car. The Mitsubishi Outlander they issued wasn’t too practical for our long-legged party, and we were cheerfully assigned a Chev Malibu with a little more room.
Our E-Pass transponder appears to be working and we made the drive between Fort Lauderdale and Miami airports with nothing more than the usual Florida driving stress.
Tom’s and Ellyn’s flight is quite late, so we’ve had ample time to sit in the cellphone lot and await their arrival.
The next trip will be to find them, check in at our hotel, and find a spot to eat a late dinner in our new time zone.
