Blane in Europe: Salzburg Serenade in Mozart’s Home Town

We rode an extremely crowded regional train from Munich to Salzburg. We boarded early and were fortunate to find seats.

We stayed at the quaint and pleasant Mirabell am Platz, a building restored from the 1600s. It’s obvious they kept both of the tiny 17th century elevators.

That evening we attended the Mozart Dinner concert, featuring a string quartet plus double bass accompanying two outstanding vocalists, performing music from Don Giovanni, Marriage of Figaro, and The Magic Flute.

Blane seemed to enjoy the evening almost as much as we did.
