Alaska Airlines ‘Event’ Captures Our Attention

We awoke in Cyprus this morning to the news that an Alaska flight out of Portland had a deactivated (“plugged”) emergency exit in Row 26 blow out.

Fortunately, the 737-MAX 9 was able to return to PDX and make an emergency landing. All aboard are safe.

Seattle’s KOMO has the best initial local coverage.

The UK Daily Mail headlines it:

The Alaska CEO has just announced that all 65 of their 737-9 planes will be temporarily grounded.

We’re scheduled to fly one to RSW (Ft. Myers Fl) in a few days.

We’ll just to wait and see what develops.
